A significant fire broke out in a warehouse located in Sosnowiec, Poland, late on Saturday evening. The blaze, which occurred in a facility on Baczyńskiego Street, involved a storage area for paper products, specifically cardboard packaging materials.

The response to the incident saw over 170 firefighters engaged in efforts to combat the flames, with the initial call to emergency services being received shortly before 9 PM. The operation, which continued through the night, involved 38 fire-fighting vehicles. The Śląski Komendant Wojewódzki Państwowej Straży Pożarnej, led by st. bryg. Damian Legierski, coordinated the overall efforts on-site.

Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported among the workforce or nearby residents, largely due to the rapid evacuation of personnel from the facility prior to the arrival of the rescue services. In addition, air quality assessments conducted during the incident revealed no harmful substances present in the atmosphere, reassuring local inhabitants of their safety.
