Croatia’s leading restaurant awards, the Dobri restorani, held their 15th ceremony at Peti Kupe in Zagreb, recognising the best restaurants across the country for 2026. The event was organised by Jutarnji list and Dobra hrana, with the Croatian National Tourist Board as the main partner.
In the traditional restaurant category, the top prize went to Konoba Jakan from Jasenica, with chef Stella Pasek collecting the award. The konoba had finished second the previous year. “We still have five residents and we feed many more guests than that,” Pasek said, thanking the industry for recognising their work. Second place in the same category went to Slavonska kuća Vinkomir from Kutjevo, a restaurant connected to one of the oldest wine houses in the region, while third place was awarded to Konoba Campanelo from Sukošan.

The best restaurant in the creative urban cuisine category was named as Bistro Beška from Čakovec, with chef Ines Jurišić accepting the award. “We are very happy that a small town like Čakovec can present an honest, authentic cuisine,” she said. Gudin Pigerija from Split, a restaurant focused entirely on pork dishes, took second place, while Food & Wine Bar Ganeum from Lovran came third.
In the hotel restaurant category, Restoran Olivier from Split was named the best high-category hotel restaurant in Croatia. The award was accepted by Ana Mišković. “This is a great boost for us. It is a great honour to have Hrvoje Zirojević on our team,” she said. Second place went to Restoran Luciano from Buje, located in the boutique hotel San Canzian in Istria, while Vila Rova from Malinska on the island of Krk, which had won the category the previous year, finished third.
Alongside the main category awards, prizes were also given for Chef of the Year, Pastry Chef of the Year, Best Young Chef (the Andrej Barbieri award), Wine List of the Year, and, for the first time, a New Name on the Scene award.
