The city of Split in Croatia has once again transformed into a vibrant hub for electronic music lovers, as the Ultra Europe Festival made a triumphant return to the Park Mladeži. Drawing from across the globe, the festival attracted thousands of partygoers, generating an atmosphere charged with excitement.

The event began its first night with over 55,000 visitors joining from both Croatia and international locations like England, Poland, and even as far as Hong Kong. Despite a slightly reduced crowd compared to previous years, the energy remained at a high, with electronic beats pulsating across four stages.

Kicking off the festival, the Main Stage featured renowned artists like Mykris, Matroda, and Vini Vici, while the Resistance Stage catered to techno and house enthusiasts with performances from Solomun and Carl Cox. Early morning sets by trance icon Armin van Buuren ensured the nighttime revelry continued until dawn.

The festival experience is complemented by a gastronomic offering, with food and beverages available at a variety of price points. Visitors from Denmark noted that the drink prices were more favorable than back home. This culinary diversity adds to the appeal, alongside Croatia’s picturesque beaches and the renowned hospitality of its locals.

The festival spans three days, with expectations set by the organisers for more than 140,000 attendees this season. The economic impact of Ultra Europe on Split is significant, reportedly increasing accommodation availability by a factor of ten over the years. Visitors tend to spend significantly, averaging above €430 daily, contributing beyond expectations to the local economy.

According to Marita Čatić of the Ultra Europe team, the festival not only attracts a mix of nationalities but encourages return visits to Croatia. This reinforcing cycle of tourism benefits underscores Ultra Europe’s position as a cornerstone of Split’s event calendar.
