The Greek Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation has announced a significant initiative to enhance public safety by equipping all metro stations in Athens with defibrillators. This project, supported by a sponsorship from Masoutis Group, aims to provide immediate intervention capabilities for incidents of cardiac arrest.

In a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Health, a program is also being launched to introduce defibrillators in taxis across Athens. Participation in this initiative will be voluntary for taxi drivers, who will receive specialized training in first aid and the use of these life-saving devices.

Additionally, staff members from urban transport services will undergo similar training, ensuring the equipment can be used effectively if a critical situation arises.
