A 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck near the island of Kasos, located in the southeastern part of Greece, early on Wednesday, as reported by the Athens Geodynamic Institute. The earthquake’s epicentre was identified 24 kilometres northwest of Kasos, occurring at approximately 7:35 AM local time.
Earlier that morning, another seismic event was recorded near the island of Rhodes. This tremor registered a magnitude of 3.8 and its epicentre was pinpointed 16 kilometres northwest of Rhodes, close to the coastal region of Turkey. It was detected at 6:39 AM.

These events have raised concerns among residents and authorities, as the Aegean region is known for its significant seismic activity. However, there have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries from either of the quakes.
The local authorities are monitoring the situation closely, urging inhabitants and tourists to stay informed and be prepared for potential aftershocks. These incidents highlight the importance of earthquake preparedness in regions prone to seismic movements.
