The committees concluded that the seismic sequence in the sea area of Anidros, between Thira and Amorgos, has shown a notable decrease in activity over the past two weeks, with seismic events remaining at low levels. Public structures in the area have also demonstrated resilience during the earthquakes, according to recent inspections.

Despite the overall reduction in seismic activity, the committees urged caution, recommending that schools observe earthquake safety measures, as the potential for stronger tremors, although significantly reduced, still exists.

Authorities have advised residents to avoid abandoned buildings and certain ports, including Ammoudi and Armeni, due to concerns over structural safety. In addition, individuals are encouraged to secure heavy overhanging objects and remove water from swimming pools to mitigate non-structural vulnerabilities in their properties.

Residents are also instructed to select safe routes when travelling, particularly in areas prone to landslides, and to evacuate coastal zones immediately if a strong earthquake occurs.

The committees, which met at the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, included officials such as Minister Vasilis Kikilias and Deputy Minister Evangelos Tournas, alongside other governmental and scientific representatives. They have scheduled another meeting for 7th March to reassess the situation and guide future actions.
