In a coordinated operation, Greek authorities arrested seven individuals in the areas of Alimos and Elliniko for offering illegal parking services at night clubs early on Saturday morning. The operation was carried out by officers from the Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Unit (O.E.P.T.A.) of the Attica Traffic Directorate.

According to the official announcement from ELLAS (the Greek Police), the suspects were found engaging in unauthorized activities involving the parking of customers’ vehicles for a cash fee, without issuing any legal receipts.

Among those arrested, two individuals were discovered to have allocated spaces on sidewalks and roads by placing cones to reserve these areas exclusively for their illicit activities.

Additionally, another group of three individuals was operating by marking parked vehicles with numbered cards, charging €10 per vehicle. Notably, this service was allegedly conducted with the consent and involvement of the temporary manager of one of the establishments, who was also apprehended.

Furthermore, in a separate case, two individuals were found charging €5 per vehicle in front of a hospitality venue. The officer in charge at this site was likewise detained for their complicity.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Kallithea Traffic Department for the initial two incidents. The third case falls under the jurisdiction of the Southern Attica Traffic Department. All suspects are scheduled to appear before the competent prosecuting authority.
