In the early hours of Monday, September 15, a coordinated search was conducted in the Korydallos Prison by the Life and Property Crime Directorate of the Organised Crime Division. This operation, crucial in ensuring the continued enforcement of societal peace and safety regulations, led to the discovery of several illegal items within inmate cells.

The raid was executed by officers specializing in fighting extortion, revealing an improvised knife and two mobile phones along with their respective chargers and headsets. These confiscations highlight ongoing challenges in preventing contraband within prison facilities.
As a result of these findings, case files have been compiled against two inmates, who are now facing charges of breaching peace maintenance measures and violating weapon regulations. The incriminating materials and associated case files have been forwarded to the relevant prosecutorial authority for further action.
