Group lessons homework

Homework & feedback

After each lesson you’ll receive homework, consisting of interactive exercises and quizzes, along with extra materials for optional self-study. You’ll also receive personal feedback from your teacher after each class.

Group recap

Monthly recaps & check-ins

Once a month you’ll have a recap lesson to go back over the material from the past month, followed by an optional monthly “check-in” test to help you see how you’re progressing.

Stay connected between lessons

Between lessons in our classroom app you’ll have access to lesson materials, vocab lists, homework and self-study exercises and lesson recordings. You can also chat and ask questions to your classmates and your teacher.

Why choose group lessons?

Great value for money

Group lessons are the most cost-effective way of learning. At less than 11€ per teaching hour, group learning is less than a third the cost of individual learning.

Learn faster and better

Learning in a group is a very effective form of learning a language. In a group, students tend to feel more relaxed speaking a foreign language and making mistakes.

Learn with others

Sharing your journey with like-minded learners can be a big boost. Motivate each other, study together between classes, and maybe make some friends along the way.

Our group courses adjust to suit your learning style

Each student has their own preferred learning style and tempo. Whether you’re a casual or an ambitious learner, we’re determined to keep you challenged and engaged, without ever feeling overwhelmed or that you’re falling behind.
We’ll help you keep track of your progress and provide you with the tools to speed up or slow down the learning speed.

If you’re an ambitious learner, or prefer to learn quickly:

  • We provide self-study materials and an interactive learning tool if you want to study between lessons
  • If you’re faster learners or have prior knowledge we can place you in an ongoing group
  • You can easily move up a group if you find progress to be slower than you would like

If you’re a casual learner, or prefer a slower tempo:

  • Rewatch lesson recordings between classes to get a better understanding of the material
  • Switch down a group to allow yourself to repeat lessons you found tricky
  • Talk to your teacher/ learning coordinator to find an approach that suits you together

Our four rules for language learning

Active speaking

We encourage you to speak as soon as possible. Making mistakes is an important part of learning, and it’s important to practise speaking and build confidence.

Guided self-study

We provide interactive tools & resources so you can keep learning between lessons: from online quizzes to extra assignments and audio/video content.

Expert teachers

We hire only qualified and experienced teachers, provide great training and monitor their progress through regular quality assessments and student feedback.

Student insights

We ask you and your classmates for regular feedback on how well we’re doing – and use your feedback to guide decisions and maintain quality throughout our school.
