The island of Pag has been completely isolated from the Croatian mainland due to intense cyclonic winds. According to reports, both the Pag Bridge and local ferry services have been suspended, preventing any travel to and from the island.
The Croatian Automobile Club (HAK) announced that in addition to the closure of Pag Bridge, several critical roadways have also been shut down. Notably, the A1 motorway section between Sveti Rok and Posedarje is closed to traffic, although an alternative route is available via Gračac and Zaton Obrovački. This detour is only accessible to cars, highlighting the disruption caused to larger vehicles.

Additionally, the Jadranska magistrala routes have traffic restrictions. Double-decker buses, vehicles with trailers, and motorcycles are prohibited from certain sections between Novi Vinodolski and Senj, and similar restrictions apply between Bakar and Novi Vinodolski on the DC8 and DC99 roads.
The maritime weather service, DHMZ, forecasts that strong winds will continue through Sunday, with occasional hurricane-force gusts, especially noticeable near the Velebit mountain range. Conditions are expected to slightly ease by Monday afternoon. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and adapt their driving to the slippery and waterlogged roads. HAK stresses the importance of maintaining safety distances between vehicles in these challenging conditions.
