According to initial information gathered by local sources, the crash was triggered when a car, for reasons yet to be confirmed, crossed into the opposite lane, colliding directly with an oncoming vehicle. The intense impact led to the instantaneous death of an elderly male, who was driving the car that veered off course.

The second vehicle involved in the collision was occupied by a family, consisting of both parents and their child. While the mother and child were safely extracted and taken to a hospital by emergency ambulances without any severe injuries, the father remained trapped inside the damaged car.
