The primary focus of this significant crackdown was to prevent and address a variety of criminal behaviours. Those arrested now face charges related to electricity theft and violations of gun laws. Concurrently, numerous driving-related violations were recorded, including the lack of valid driving licenses and the non-use of helmets and seat belts. As a consequence, 12 driving licenses and four vehicle registrations were revoked.

In searches conducted at residences, authorities discovered and confiscated a shotgun reported stolen in 2022, eight cartridges, a knife, and a cannabis grinder. Further action by a Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) crew involved dismantling 506 meters of illegal wiring used for unauthorized electricity connections.

All arrested individuals have been referred to the competent prosecutorial authorities. Police officials affirmed that these operations will persist to enhance citizens’ sense of security and combat criminal activities in the area.
